Public Applications

Public client applications can be shared with other Axosoft customers, and are best suited for general-purpose Axosoft addons. Public applications also must use the Authorization Code grant type for authentication.

Obtaining Public API Keys

An Axosoft Hosted account is required to manage & obtain Public API Keys. To request a Public Key, log into your Axosoft account (with Administrator privileges) and perform the following steps:

  • Access the Manage Account section

    Open Manage Account from the Tools menu.

  • Navigate to the Public API tab

    Select the Public API Keys tab.

  • Request Your public API Key

    Click the "Request New API Key" button.

Submitting Applications

After requesting your Public API key, it will be in a developer status, meaning that it can be used by your Axosoft account. When you're ready to submit your app for review, you would just need to go back to the public API key page and click 'Submit App' and include your instructions to review.

Our team will then review your app or integration and either recommend changes, or approve your app to make accessible for all Axosoft accounts.

Developers interested in creating public applications can receive a free limited 2-user Axosoft hosted account by signing up below.

Access Limits

The default limits are 25 calls per second, and 10,000 calls per day. The Axosoft API enforces quotas on the number of API calls that can be made on behalf of your client application. If either of the limits are reached, subsequent API calls made by your app will fail with a 503 Service Unavailable error.
